No 2-3 shift at WOT?!?!?!
This just in now the car is again hitting the rev limiter after my tuner back it down to shift at 5500. I am going to post up a vid of my tach and see if that will help in finding out where i need to go next. The data loging does sound like that is what i need to do.
Just and update for all those interested, finally got around to data logging the trany and the computer showed a shift at 67 (what I had the shift point set at trying to get it to work) but the trany wasn’t actually shifting. Also my peak line pressure was 68psi and I had it set to 90. So I called the guy who built the trany and he said that with that low a line pressure that something about a cylinoid has gone out and my 2-3 clutches are guna be burnt up

so looks like its coming out for some work. When you say your line peaked at 68 PSI you mean thats what the data log showed, So you know that is not line pressure, Its pressure in the PCS circuit and is estimated not measured buy the PCM.
Line pressure can only be measured at the port manually on the side of the trans/ The number is low for WOT though even for that area but its based on the current being fed to the PCS not actual. Your PCM is commanding the line pressure down for some reason if its not hitting the 90 setting you made.
FYI actual line pressure runs from 60 to 230 PSI.

Actually that number is telling you the PCM is not commanding the correct pressure
The 60e has no way to measure pressure rather the PCM calculates what it should be based on the amount of current it sends to the pcs

hmm so could it be that some setting in the PCM is just wrong? I know the line pressure was set at 90 and also the PCM showed a shift at 67mph like it was telling it to shift but no actual shift took place so dosent that mean that there is something wrong in the trany it self? If not what needs to be changed? Also in trying to find the problem I made one run where all stock computer settings were programmed back into the PCM and it still wouldnt shift if that helps at all.
Well if its showing the shift commanded it would have to be mechanical in one way or the other.
1-The shift is being commanded and the solenoid is failing to vent (BAD shift solenoid).
2-The shift is being commanded and the shift solenoid is working properly and the clutch set is not holding (slipping).
3-If a shift kit was installed there are two small holes in the plate that for some reason some people enlarge these holes if they are made to large it will prevent high line pressure shifts from 2-3 (solenoid flooding)
4-The line pressure itself is way to high this also can like above holes cause to much fluid to be fed to the solenoids causing solenoid flooding which can also cause a no wot 2-3 shift at wot.(solenoid)

Man thank you so much all those I will look into all of those and pass them on as well, and a shift kit was installed so I will check with the guy who built it and see how he installed it.
I had all those problems before rebuilding my tranny. I dont know if i had fluid seeping past the servo seals( since i upgraded to billet pieces) or if it was indeed a clutch pack going south. but now it shifts like a champ. Before my rebuild i eventually lost 4th so these i can honestly say is one of your culprits.
I know it has been a while but I thought I would close this thread out with the conclusion for any who were following or for all those who search. It turns out that when the shift kit was put in it was the wrong one. It was the right part number and everything just what was delivered was wrong. So once that was finally addressed and swapped out for the right part the cars runs fine no problems what so ever.
