No 2-3 shift at WOT?!?!?!
Ok, like it sais at WOT I have no 2-3 shift the car just bounces on the rev limiter. I have upped the line pressue and messed with the shift speed and rev limmiter and nothing seems to work. Even put back in torque management to see if that made a difference and nothing.... Any ideas??? the trany is a built 4l60E with 3200 stall.
does it shift normal at like half throttle or less ? if so it is probably like one of mine is/was and has something messed up inside it, i think something was cracked/busted and losing pressure or something.
I am having the same prolblem. I have a level 4 tans from FLT with a yank 3200 stall and on the shift from 2 to 3 I hit rev limter every time. It shifts at 6100 but after it shifts the rpm's keep going up and it bounces of the rev limiter. Yesterday my tuner worked on it all after noon and got it to shift without hitting the rev limter but had to set the shift point at 5500 rpm. I make peek power at 6100 rpm so to me it sounds like my car is not going to run as strong as it could. But i am no expert on this all I know is the facts. Cam only I ran 12.50's at 112 then built trany and stage 1 ls6 heads with 11 to 1 compression ran 12.40's at 111 with a 1.74 60ft at san antonio raceway.

and when it don't shift if you lift it goes into gear ? if so i think you have the same problem mine in my dd does and it has done it twice now. i can't remember exactly what it is that's busted/cracked but it seems like i remember something about a piston. either way you will probably be pulling it out it sounds like.

Yes, you are going to lose power. When it shifts that low, you start off the next gear in a lower rpm too. I believe. Plus, you're losing 600 rpm of peak hp.
My car shifts at 6400 rpm. Right now at the 2-3, it will hit 7000 rpm until it hits the limiter. I lost 4th gear too.
the 2-3 upshift speeds at WOT and the 3-2 Dwnshift speeds at WOT are not at the same or similar speeds and RPM's. Also don't set the shift times lower than 1 sec. I usually stay at 2 sec.

The 2-3 shift is a bit more complicated than the 1-2 in that two yur not just turning on the band like 2nd but your using the same fluid used to turn on the 3-4 clutch set as your using to release th band so it will take a little more time.

Bear in mind there is and absolute difference between commanded shift and actual shift. I know you say the shift it set to be commanded at 5500 but considering that it takes time for the shift to occur the RPM pass from commanded to actual can be anywhere from 200 to 600 rpm or more depending on how much power you have(rate at which the RPM climb) and the range of time it actually take for the hydraulics to filling the clutch chambers and apply the 3-4 clutch set.

I don't like seeing much higher than stock line pressures. What are your desired shift times set to? You have to be careful especially with the 2-3 shift. mine is set to .250 across the board on the 2-3 shift.

Mine did this too after putting 550hp through it.
Totally perfect for daily driving/part throttle but nada 2-3 at the track. I just bought a built trans, will let you know how it goes.

Try lowering the mph, not the rpms. The ecm needs 2 criteria's met before a shift, mph and rpm.
