i dunno but tbyrne has been fantastic as a "Reseller" at answering my questions.
You have to give "developers" a break, they are out making the schtuff, testing it, the sell to resellers to offload the issues (customer support). it is a great way for a company to focus on their core product and let resellers deal with the questions all the time. this is from my experience selling aftermarket vw schtuff.
having to answer 50+ emails a day and take phone calls can sure cut into your "work" time. Especially since many of them are pretty weak questions. just my view on things even though i don't sell chevy products, i think the same analogy applies. wholesale to tuners, who know the product, tune them, and make the markup etc for supporting the product. makes life a lot easier![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)

Well if your burning down the track, then I too would be concerned about my 60ft times. Except, I am a daily driver with a rare (bloody) apperarance at the track. So I am strongly considering the SS3800 w/ 2.55 str for my:
02 SS A4 w/ 3:73gears
The Vig 2800-3000 2.5 str. is a great starter TC, I have never had any prob's with it.
Why is it so hard to contact Yank Converter by phone or email?
I have heard their customer services is lacking in this area.

Haven't seen much on th PS series. But the PT will tear that SS up especially mid and top end.

StreetStalker: The PS series will not outperform the PT on the top end. The PT's pump is just killer for that stall. The YTP 4000/4200 are about as ideal a top end race from a roll converter as is out there.
Compared to the SS, the PS series gets different pumps on the 4200 and 4400. I think you'll find the 4200 offers excellent track performance and yet will have better manners than a YTP 4200. Just don't expect to beat a similar YTP 4200 equiped car on the highway. It still should be able to handle a Vig 3600 equiped car.
The PS 4400 is looking like a max effort drag racing converter to me.

Well, I went to Carol @TByrne, and Mike (Yank) told her that with my street/daily driver setup, the SS3800 w/2.55 str. is an excellent TC for my 02 SS.
I already have Motive 3.73 gears, alot of suspension mods, Lunati cam, and a few tricks under the hood-all motor, and stock heads. I am sure the Yank will perform much better than my Vig 3000 w/2.5 str. I can't even remember the last time I ran down the track. Maybe 8-9 mos. ago.
Best 1/8 mile 8.063 @86.61 mph
60ft. 1.903

Sounds to me like if my converter wasn't working so well, or if in the future I have problems I will try to break the bank and probably have to get a loan to afford a Pro Stock 4200. Any efficency or str info?

Well, Now I am still going down the Yank TC path. And still I am not exactly sure whick one to go with SS3800(2.55 str.) or PT4000 (2.20 str.) For a daily driver, I think the SS3800 will do the job better than a PT4000. Even with the Nitto on the rear, and 3:73 gears, I can't see the light, so which what is best. My LS1 edit specialist has a high regard for the PT4000 TC.
