4L60E 2-3 shift
The 2-3 does indeed take longer because there is more going on. With the 1-2 shift fluid is only being sent to the small 1-2 accumulator and the 2nd servo . With the 2-3 fluid is being sent to the 3-4 clutch set and the much larger back side of the servo to release the band, So there is a need for a greater volume of fluid to complete the shift. Therefore more time to fill the chambers

thanks for breaking it down for me. i set my 2>3 shift to occur at a slightly lower rpm than the 1>2 since it take a lot more lead time. hopefully this will make it feel at least a little quicker.
i have had my shift kit on for a little more than a year. now my 1>2 shifts take forever. it shifts between 1900-2300rpm depending on how hard i press the gas. i never remembered it shifting from 1 to 2 so late in the rpm's.
I have same "problem". 1>2 shift happens instantly, while 2>3 seems to take quite a while...maybe 2-300 rpm's past what I have it set to shift at.

(to myself but it is my thread)i've been looking to get some drag wheels but all i ever see is a bunch of complaining about backspacing. and sometimes the back fit but the front dont and vice versa. do you know what the backspace for the LT1 is front and rear?
That's why I went with the Bogarts (RT welded). Forgot to mention though, their not for street driving. I do, but it's not recommended.
so what should i do to stop the long shift between the second and third gear?
