As long as it's a lock-up Stall, it'll work on the highway without a problem.

so far i have been get'n about 18mpg overall per tank of gas. that is with 90% in town 10% highway . so if it were to drop off to 15-16 mpg per tank that would be fine. considering i just came out of an suv that averaged about 9-10 town 14-15 highway. i talked to a local speed shop they reccommended a 3200 stall for a daily driver. i can handle a higher stall speed it's just the mpg that i am really worried about.

I have a Vig 3600, FLT Level 4 and 3.73's. Vig tends to flash higher than rated. Mine is more like a 4000 stall. I truly drive my car daily in snow and all. 40 miles a day in chicago. I average 15-17 mpg almost all city driving. You could run a 4400 stall and a monster cam and still get better than 9-10 mpg as long as its got a good tune so I'd not worry about the mileage loss because of the stall too much.

My Yank ST3500 drives like stock around the city. Its looser than stock but it feels like stock after you've been driving a stalled car for awhile. If you want a tighter feel, go up w/ 3.42 rear, if you're not too concern about the highway MPG get 3.73. It will help also if you tune your tranny for your converter ie: shiftpoints, line pressure, torque mgmt, etc.

I've seen good results w/ Yank from my experience and my buddy's car. You can go with Vigilante or Circle D converters as they seem to be as good as Yank.
