Default Are 93 and 99 driveshafts interchangeable? Please help a bow-tie novice.

My brother has a 93 3.4 Camaro with a 4L60E tranny. It has a two piece driveshaft that AAMCO claims needs to be replaced due to the coupler between the two halves being damaged/worn out/old. My brother found a 1 piece driveshaft from a 99 3.8 Camaro also with a 4L60E tranny (at least this is what I've found online to be the tranny for the 99). Will this driveshaft be a direct fit for the 2 piece he had? AAMCO claims that the bushings for the control arms for the axle are worn out and is causing the axle to move forward and backward, therefore separating the two halves of the already damaged driveshaft. I'm already skeptical about their honesty, as I've already paid $1600 for them to rebuild the tranny and not 2 days later this driveshaft fiasco happens. The sketchy part is that the symptoms after the alleged driveshaft failure was EXACTLY the same as what led them to do the $1600 rebuild, which leads me to suspect that I got raped for a $1600 driveshaft issue in the first place. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to give as much info regarding the situation. Any experts please help before I have to pay these guys any more money. Thanks in advance.

V6 4th gens were often 2-piece driveshafts, up through 97 or 98.

There was a TSB to replace a 2-piece with an aluminum 1-piece in them to solve vibration issues...

The v8 and v6 driveshafts are interchangeable.
