transmission replacement
ok so i need a new trans the one i go it slipping. is it worth my money to have it fixed with the factory settings or should i just get an aftermarket one. im wanting to put about 400-425 hp at the wheels in about the next six months so would the stock one be able to handle that kind of power . im looking at getting this transmission.

+1 Search Goodfellas here and I think you might read advise not to go that route. I would not go back with a stock replacement with the hp you are talking about. Please take a look at what we have to offer. We also have a special this month check the link in my Sig. Vince

+1 do not skimp on a transmission.go with a proven shop the first time.Im on my 3rd transmission right now because i skimped and got hosed on a supposedly built transmission.

FLT has amazing transmissions from what I have heard, I just needed my transmission quicker than they could get it done for me.
Performabuilt has AMAZING customer service and help, they have helped me out several times just troubleshooting even without me being a customer, really good guys over there.
I ended up going with Circle D just because they are local, they had me in and out quickly, and got everything taken care of for me. I am very pleased with their customer service, and the work that they did.
I would go with any of the three shops I listed, they are all good guys. Or heck, even mix and match, go with a Performa built / FLT trans and a Circle D converter.
