Default What size are the converter bolts?

Installing a converter in my TH400 this week after swapping out MN6. Need to go get some bolts for the converter. Anyone know the length and threads?

Do the right thing. Use bolts specifically for a torque converter. You can get them from your GM dealer, or someplace like Yank. Those three bolts have a pretty important job to do, I wouldn't use anything that's not designed specifically for that purpose.

Todd, most of the bolts that are used for aftermarket stuff are going to be 7/16-20 UNF. ARP Sells them and I just put them in today. It's a nice setup. Otherwise get a grade 8 for temporary use and then swap them out later. Length depends on if your converter is threaded like mine or through bolted. Just crawl under there and measure real quick if you are not getting the ARP's and are taking a trip to the hardware instead. Good luck.

Thanks guys. Need to get something in there. Can't believe they are not metric for an LS1 application though?
