tune with a small stall
ive searched no help, im going to install a 2800 to 3000 stall in a few weeks, so with a stall this small am i going to need a tune. ive read that yes you do and others say that they havent just trying to figure it out befroe i install.
I have a 2800 Vig and my tuner said I'd need my shift points readjusted. The tune modification was free so I have no reason to doubt it. Before the retune he advised that I not "beat on the car" or make it kickdown at wot. You'll also need a trans cooler and possibly need to have your misfire tables adjusted to allow your converter to lock/unlock properly.

my shifts got buttery soft after the stall. i also have heard that some people will hit the rev limiter on WOT but i didn't with my 3200. i dunno what else he changed but line pressure to firm shifts up. he has a stalled auto so i just let him work his magic.
I didn't have my ss3600 tuned at first. I was pretty happy with how it felt after i did get it tuned. I'd recommend a tune, makes the stall feel smoother at WOT and the tuner can firm up the shifts if he knows what he is doing. Mine was only 150.
