Installed 4l80e and speedometer and tach dont work. Wondering if anyone had problems with speedometers and tachs working after installing a 4l80e. Im thinking its computer thing followed directions. waiting to talk to a tuner first. The car is a 98 with a TCI standalone. Anything i can check or should i just talk to my tuner.

Do you have both the input and output sensors hooked up? If so are you sure that you do not have the sensor wiring swapped? Not sure how that controller works but with a factory system in park the input should read close to engine RPM. When you put the trans in gear with the wheels stopped, the input should read zero until you start moving. Just a thought. Vince
