Default T-brake wiring?

For Christmas I got a B&M t-handle shift **** with a built in switch . Can I wire the trans brake on my 4L80 to it without using a relay? How many amps does the t-brake solenoid use? And does anyone know how many amps the B&M switch can handle? Thanks!

Happy Holidays!

You should be able to wire it directly to the Solenoid with no relay. Just use a fused 12v supply.

Thanks. I thought that was the case but I wanted to hear someone else say it lol. I'd also like to wire in a switch to deactivate the circuit. I guess the switch will need to handle at least few amps....

Welcome to LS1tech. Good luck and Happy Holidays!
