I have a problem when shifting i just want to know what it is. Started happening after i finish racing. Now the problem is it not shifting like it use to from 1st to 2nd it takes it up to 2000 - 2500 rpm so it can shift to 2nd. Before it use to shift at 1500 rom please help me

 

Check fluid level, color, smell.

My 07 suburbo was taken in because of the same thing. Would use a lot more RPM to shift. Sprags were fucked and shared some metal with the whole trany.

 

can really understand what u typed? it messed up a spring? what spring exactly

 

Is the speedo working ? any codes? Are you sure its shifting to second and not 1-3 ?

 

yeah the speedo working fine what its doing it shift till like 2000 rom when in 1st after 1st its fine

 

Try manually shifting from 1-2 and just hold there does it shift to second at any rpm ?

It will shift it just shift at high rpm not at the normal when im crusing but it only happens during 1st and 2nd that it the others work just fine

 

no codes just p1133 and p1153 since i have long tubes

 

best way to explain it is it acts like it has no overdrive like its just in D

 

Anyone have a clue??!?!?!? as for my tranny fluid its not at optimal level so imma try that and see if its the one causing the problem

 

Well the 4L60E shift points are completely at the mercy of the PCM I would top the fluid off however with th exception that its missing 2nd and going right to third you will need to get it on a scanner to tryand figure out whats going on. The trans has nn mind of its own

 

no if it would shift to 3rd then my rpm would go done like crazy its going down but it takes a long time to shift to 2nd like it would shift on overdrive at about 25 mph

 

But did you try what I said manual shifting 1-2 then leaving it there to see what happens ?

 

yes i did it will shift but not exactly when i shift it

 

well just found out i have no 2nd gear man life is really shitting on me now
