So i pulled the DS today... looking at it, there is no sign of it slipping on the splines... im going to be getting a longer one anyway.

I dont know what the problem was that first day i had got it going, but whatever it was it has stopped... im thinking maybe the subfreezing temps had something to do with it, and once i got everything moving and lubed up, it had stopped. Either way, the problem is gone... So thanks to everyone who put in there input and help..
