TC from a roll
efficiency will be your best friend from a roll. also your combo is very important, like where your hitting it from (mph wise), gearing, shift point, shift extension, etc. some convertors hit real hard with their high str, but if you dont have an efficient convertor, it will be a dog up top rpm.
Hope a Yank Thruster Pro equipted car isn't in the other lane
Yep...well maybe wish one was in the other lane. I was just racing a guy yesterday with my new PT4000, and at 40 it just lit up the tires, and started sideways....
Thats okay though...the 18's aren't meant for traction...
Ok guys i just have a stupid ?. Say I am crusin around @ 40 MPH and i nail it with my newly ordered TCI 3500, what would happen?

My advice, shift manually, start in 2nd. Otherwise if ya hit it, it'll take 1+ seconds to downshift, meanwhile the other guy is accelerating and you're losing your advantage. 25mph is the 2nd gear sweat spot btw.
If you occasionally downshift it manually under light load you'll be ok.
The converter should hold 4200 rpm or higher and thus cure the dead spot at the bottom of 2nd gear at that speed.
