Ok so I got my car back a week ago after hitting a tree. Drove fine. Now the tranny is done I think. I'll be at a light to take off and it won't go just rev then gradually go. And if I sit there and take my foot of the brake it don't move.rev is fine. Just first gear. Is my tranny done? Third gear has been going it's wouldn't shift into 3rd right away. Like try to but not. Help me!!??
Do you have a check engne light? Whats the fluid look and smell like ?

It's not that dirty smell a lil burnt. Fluid was a lil low half a quart. Filled it it was the same. Idk if it's something easy and I just got it tuned could that do anything? It's the original trans with a shift kit. Cook say 177k but the speedo was off for 4 yes cuz 3.73s
well i would get it scanned first kinda sounds like limp mode and go from there

limp mode is when the PCM sees a fault and goes into third gear only mode to protect itself and the trans, A quick scan will likely lead you to a quick answer

Ok what does it mean if it went into limp mode? What did I do to the car? Went for a drive it was ok. Beat on it a bit it was still ok. Idk why it's working fine now bit it will prob happen on the way to work again.
Get it scanned and you will have your answer post the codes back up here

DTC P1637 = Generator L-Terminal Circuit
"Conditions for Setting the DTC
1) An improper voltage level has been detected on the alternator lamp driver circuit.
2) Above conditions for at least 30 seconds."
Check the generator voltage level, check the signal circuit and generator wiring harness for poor connections, shorts or opens. Next step check the PCM harness for poor connections.
These types of codes tend to put the transmission in default in order to save battery voltage.
