Trans Cooler write up? Photos? Install guide?

Hey guys, buyin me a trans cooler tomarow, just had a couple questions. Where do i mount it? Do i need to add atf in the cooler before i start the car? And do i bypass the stock one, keep it or?

I also would like to know if there is a guide or a write up? And if anyone has any pictures of either the install or where theres is mounted? How long is the install time? Thanks - Zack

not being an ***, but there "should" be some instructions in the kit. the one i have came with them, and i got mine at advance auto. I have mine mounted in fron of the radiator and its inline with the factory cooler that is inside the radiator. just hook up the lines so that it goes through the factory cooler, then aftermarket cooler, then back to trans. you shouldnt need to fill it with fluid, but have some handy so you can add it after you run the car a little to check for leaks. hope this helps

^Im buying a used one. Friend had one laying around the house so im picken it up from him. So idk if there are any instructions with it. So you mounted yours in front of the radiator, good to know.

I put mine in front of the radiator and bypassed the radiator cooler. Some prefer to keep the radiator in the loop, dealer's call.

Kinda like getting a kidney transplant from someone with aids. Whatever is in that cooler is going to end up in your trans, and might kill it.

Pick up a can of Kooler Kleen and flush it and your lines out to make sure there isnt any junk in it

Don't worry, it has never been out the box. I assumed it was used, but only taken out and looked out. He also has very good feedback and trust him. Been actively talkin to him for awhile now. He is also just over 100 miles from me so no worries here. Thanks for the write ups/pics guys. It will definatly help alot.
