Default HELP.....Grrr tranny or vert or both problems??

Ok, I have a TCS tranny and a TCS 4400 stall vert. (I know this could get ugly cause of who it's by) .... anyway... I have them both in and every time I got WOT I peg the rev. limiter HARD I'm talking deep in the red! I've had the same convertor in both a BRAND NEW stock tranny and this TCS one... do you think it's the convertor? Do you think it's too loose? I don think it's the trans only because it was the same exact problem with the BRAND NEW trans in it as well...

What do you think?

It sounds like without a doubt its the TC if you had it in both trannies as it did the same thing...did it do it right off the bat with the old stock tranny? Or did it take some breaking in to start acting up?

Bill, right off the bat it happend.. I've also been thinking it's the TC and we are thinking of going back to the VIG 4400 vert. since I had such great ETs with it...

Miriah,

I bet that thing is stalling much higher than advertised. If you still have the Vig, I'd try it out. It's a know variable.

BTW: Where's your rev limiter set at?

Miriah, Laura is having issues with her converter as well but on the other side. Hers is too tight. Maybe you guys should switch? We just ordered a Vig. for her though.

John: Yup it's stalling higher then 4400 that I can tell ya...

Bill: I sent TCS my Vig 4400 and got a TCS 4400 from them. So I dont have it anymore On the other note, my stock tranny blew and puked in the Vig so it wasn't any good anyway.

Mikey: I know, I was talking with Laura about it at E-Town the other weekend... I asked if she wanted to trade. Ha-ha.. I think I really want the Vig 4400 back! I had such great luck with it and really liked it!

So if PI is reading this... Do ya wanna send me a test Vig 4400? Feel free to PM or Email me or call CARTEK to set it up

sorry to hear the deamons are still bothering you. Even swapping a stock TC in as a test might help diagnose the issue. Do you bang the rev limiter in every gear?
