Default Trans failure?

Was out messing with my car earlier and was in drive. It shifted fine and everything seemed fine didnt give me any hints of somthing wrong. After I made a few pulls the car acted like it was in limp mode and didnt have 1st or 2nd gear. I pulled over and checked to see if I had any codes after that it was all over with. No reverse, overdrive, drive, 2nd or 1st car wouldnt move at all. Pulled it home with a tow strap and pulled the pan didnt see anything in the pan. Just curious if anyone has any suggestions of things to check before I take it out of the car. When the car is in park and running it acts like there is a load on the engine.

First with no movement I would remove a cooler line and start and see if you have flow verifying the pump is working.

Only that it sounds like a major mechanical failure, You will have to tear into the trans to find out any more

Also forgot to mention 1 of the splines in the driveshaft is stripped out. You can see part of it at the bottom. Wonder if this is related to the trans locking up

im pretty sure thats normal. my stock steel driveshaft is missing a spline and also the aluminum ls1 shaft i bought recently also has a missing spline. i dont know why they make the yokes like that but its missing on both of mine. so yeah....
