Default 4L60E problem

I have a strengthened 4L60E in my monaro (im from Australia). 2 days ago it was struggling to go into 3rd gear and 4th did not exist. Took it to my trans guy he took it for a test drive the following day and told me the car is driving like normal and shifting to all gears as it should.

I wanted to know if theres any type of PCM error that might be causing this?

its got a harrop hh112 blower (similar to the maggie), 233/233 cam, 3000 stall on a rebuilt and strengthened tranny.

A few days back i was cruising the car in 4th, planted my foot and it stalled up past 5000 and didn't put power down. After this i released throttle and slowly accelerated and it was normal again. The following day i wanted to test the car, I drove onto the highway and put my foot into it, it changed gears irregularly and then dropped back to 1st and stuck there. The day after i called my trans guy and drove the car in, in D it went to 1st, 2nd then instead of 3rd dropped back to 1st. I tried manually shifting from 2nd to 3rd and only sometimes it went into gear.

I dropped off the car at the trans guy. He calls me the following day saying he took it for a drive with the scanner in and its performing like normal.

Check thats speedo is working correctly. Have you have tuning done for the stall as erratic shifts after a high stall is not and unusual situation.

maybe a kick in your tranny guys ******* will make him tell you the truth! it can't just mysteriously go back to normal when he drives it and then go back to **** after you get it? do you make him test drive it with you?

Well i just got the car back from the tranny guy, he did a service on it and changed the fluid. Now he tells me that water has gone into the trans which has damaged it and he can't beleive it still runs. He showed me the old trans fluid and said it had a milky texture which was apparently caused by water.

I've just driven it home and its changing to all gears but it doesnt feel right. Also when it gets to about 3000rpm (stall point) the car starts shaking similar to axle tramp.

He suggested that because i changed my radiator lately, theres a trans line into the radiator that may have caused this. Does this sound right to you guys, or is he trying to get out of fixing it under warranty??

if it is leaking into the radiator you can find out easy. pull the radiator cap off and see what it looks like. if it looks like a pink milkshake, then the line inside the radiator is probably broke.
