Placing a 9" torque conv. makes your overall BHP drop about 15 horse to the wheels????

last time at the track i cut a 1.69, 1.70, 1.72 60 ft. on Nittos, and i believe the converter had more in it. i think i can cut a low 1.6x or possibly a high 1.5x with it with better tires.

I personally run Yank's and Yank has been very good to me. There customer service is great, they are nice people, and there products speak for themselves. I previously had their SS3600 and that thing was an animal. Super efficient and tight on the street and cut late 1.6x's at the track full weight with at the time 330rwhp. I have not one bad thing to say about that stall. Recently my tranny went (3-4 clutches) so I had it built by CPT and I sent the stall back to Yank to be restalled to the PT4000. Haven't gotten the tranny into the car yet but I am extrememly excited to see how it is. Based off of Yank's superior reputation and results I would go with them.

If you would open up your short list just a bit, I would be glad to help you pick a Circle D converter.
Good luck with your decision.

converters out there, unless the lockup clutch is too
weak. Had one of those, none of the mentioned vendors.
I think you aren't asking the right questions, probably
meaning you don't have the clearest idea of what you
really want out of a converter.
