Stock a4's in the 12's???
no effing way...low 12s. my 3.73s were only worth a tenth in the 1/8th mile. so 2-3 tenths in the quarter is pushing it. that would still make most A4 cars run low 13's. ive heard of low 13 A4s stock and a few m6 cars in the 12.9x range. but very few at that, maybe factory freaks with perfect conditions. So many people say the A4's are weak and blah, blah, blah. Yes, I mis-read the intent of this thread LMAO. I thought the OP was wondering how fast a basically stock transmission could go. OOPS
My 4L60E has 91k miles on it, the last 25k have been supercharged with a Yank St3500 stall, transgo shift kit, and a B&M super cooler as the only mods. I've made at least 120 1/4 mile passes with many in the 11.8-12.1 range. Still shifts hard and fast. I keep an eye on the temp and keep the fluid clean.
I know it won't live forever and with my new motor/blower combo I am looking to upgrade to a new tranny to handle the extra power.

i drove a friends 02 ws6 to a 12.89
but now that i hit the reply button and think about it, it had a lid, cut out and k&n but thats it fwiw... certainly did have the stock stall and original tires in back / no weight out spare included.
it was a ringer the damn thing made 335 at the tires!
this had to be 5 years ago but i found a pic of that day, you can see that the car is dialed in a 12, i believe i dialed a 12.85 and won whatever class it was that day hence the trophy

My buddies 01 runs 12.7x @108, with a 2400 stall, 3.73s k&n filter, and flowmaster muffler lol (not catback just muffler)...on E.T. streets...i dont see a stock a4 going 12s without at least a baby stall ...

Yeah, theres a couple that posted but they did little things like weight removal. But, I rarely even see the m6 ls1's in the 12's. Even then it would have to be perfect conditions.

This is Basically the point.
If it were 1998-2002 and a a4 camaro rolled off the gm floor and right onto a 1/4 mile drag strip, that a4 camaro would not run in the 12's low 13's yes but not the 12s
