I am sorry. i though you ment will the trans hold up for 12s.
I do not think a stock T/A, Camaro could run 12s with no mods. Not a chance.

I've heard of very low 13's, but not of 12s. I take those low 13's with a grain of salt because many people call a lid/cutout/drag radial car "stock."

There was an article in an old GMHT that had a 2002 SS run a 12.96 right off the show room floor.

I have never seen a bone stock A4 let alone a M6 run 12s at my local tracks. Then again most drivers suck around here.

With a lid and FTRA I ran a 13.5 on a 100F day. With full exhaust, cutout, LS6 + prior mentioned mods I ran a 12.84@107.7 with stock 16s and street tires with a 1.999 goft...

It might be possible but I would say you're going to need some weight reduction with perfect air, elevation and 60ft...and thats a stretch

My 2000 Camaro SS A4 went 12.99 stock with a paper filter. So yes it is possible. I did have the back seats out, spare, and jack out of the car.

I have a friend that went 13.01 with his bone stock T/A A4. As far as 12's stock in general, another friend of mine had an 02 Firehawk bone stock on street tires and a slipping clutch go 12.95. That run is on tape.

Its just some many guys put down the A4.... This "If its not a m6" attitude is BS. Ive owned both and loved them both But, the a4 in my opinion is better for drag racing... But some guys are just haters.

i agree the a4 gets alot of hate. but my 02 z a4, with 3.42 lid, free mods went 12.98 at 106 and would regularly beat m6 cars on the hwy to about 130 ish.
then put pacesetters, slp dual dual, and tuned. 12.50s at 109. all this on cheap street tires.

I ran 12.95. My ONLY mods ar 3400 converter, K&N filter, and factory size M/T radials. Before the converter it ran a 13.3 and before the DRs it ran 13.5.

I love my A4 for drag racing. I use a weather computer and, with my curent setup, can typically dial in +-0.02. The last competition pass I was 0.001 off my dial.

Your NOT getting into the 12's with the factory stall converter and no mods. Not happening.

An M6 car can leave the line harder due to being able to launch @ a higher rpm. In the hands of an experienced driver you can go a lot quicker than a stock A4 car due to it's low stall speed from the factory. Once you throw a performance converter in the mix it's an entirely different story.

I agree with above, Generally around here stock autos typically run 13.4s to 13.8s depending on weather.
