Good converter
Good converter well guys im looking for a good converter for my fiance's car! 2000 Z28, I want something that is still street friendly and she can drive on the street but while at the same time I may throw a kit on it and run it at the track a few times, so something that is going to help out pretty good but that she can still drive, just looking for a good input...

Fuddle Racing :nope: I wouldn't tell a mustang to buy one of their converters.
I have a 3400 rpm stall and the stall is good on the street except in areas with street lights and steep hills. It rolls backwards like an M6 car. Other than that it's invisible.

A few options and questions. How much street manors does your fiance need, meaning getting sideways on the street if you lay into it? Any bigger plans for the car in the future?
The 11" 3000-3200 is a nice street option. Typical gain in the 1/4 is .3-.4. Excellent street manors, won't even know it is there under light throttle.
The 245MM - 9.75" Billet Stage I.
2C 3200-3400 Stall. Still nice on the street but much better at the track. .5 or better gains.
3C - 3500-3700. A little more agressive - might be pushing it a little for safety in the street. But will put a big smile on your face at the track.

i have a vig 3200 in my car. drives very good for a street car. i have no complaints. but just make sure you dont go cheap on a converter. i would have no problems choosing vigilante, yank, circle D converters..all these guys have great converters.
I just put in a nitrous converter (3300-3700 stall) from Transmission Specialties. I've been driving the car on the street daily to break everything in (even though it's not required) and the car is excellent. Great street manners and gets up and goes. I would definitely personally recommend trans spec..

I would recommend the Circle D 3C for her application. It'll really wake the car up, but feel very comfortable on the street. It'll also handle the giggle gas with no problem. It will eliminate the dead spots that the stock converter has and that's a good feeling.
