So If I hold my transbrake what will happen? Will the car's RPM's stop at the stall speed? The reason I ask is because I brought a used stall from a guy and he said that it stalled at 4000 on his turbo car. I pressed in the transbrake and floored the car and the RPM's never went over 3100-3200 at best. So does that means the stall is 3100-3200? IF that is the case, what is the disadvantage of a stall so low with my motor? Does the converter act the same going down the track as a stall that is 4000? I'm a newbie to the TH400 coming from a M6 so all the info I can get is much appreciated. Sorry OP for the hijack of your thread. I owe you lol.

No it stalled higher with his car because it was a turbo car. boosted cars usually stall higher than an n/a car.

So what I was able to get the car too on the transbrake is what my stall is? And how does that differ from a higher stall for my application. I know it would allow me to leave harder but what about the rest of the 1/4mile. Will it ride the same as if it was a 4000 stall?

Yes that is a safe assumption. a higher stall on a th400 car drives very different as far as street driving. I couldnt tell you about the rest of the 1/4 as to whats gonna happen since I dont know your setup. I would suggest talking to some of the converter manufacturers. Yank, circle D, etc....

I think I am going to pull the converter tomarrow, haven't really touched the car, but I switch ECM's. I know the converter is too tight so a py3600 or looser converter is in order. Does Yank do a PY3800?

I to have the py 3400 in a 4l80e. engine is supercharged, making 1000 rwhp. It is a very tight converter,at trafic lights from a stand still when i release the foot brake on no gas the car starts to moove.I have the pcs controller, im wondering if there are parameters to give it a little more slip.
