Should be fine, driveability shouldn't be any worse than stock within reason...

my first impression was it feels like driving through mud. You get used to it and after a while you wont ever want to go back to a stock converter.

I'm having a hard time deciding between a 3200 and a 3600. I think i want the 3600 because i have another car to daily drive, and i would want to best track times without going to a 4000 and pretty much killing the drive ability. Plus i plan on using nitrous and it seems like 4000 is to high of a stall for nitrous.

I would say no less than a 3600, its not bad at all. Just make sure you get a good stall the first time.

i have a vigilante 3200 along with a 230 cam for my A4 and it drives very good for a daily driver. youll be amazed how easy it drives. just make sure to get a tranny cooler, and a tune when you get a converter installed. i honestly think i could step up to a 36-3800. but my car is just a fun little daily driver street car.

Generally speaking, the steeper your rear diff gear ratio the looser the converter you can run before it feels weird. I have 2.73s and my Yank 2800 felt close to stock; with steeper gears I could have gone with more stall and kept that drivability.

you will love it !! i bought my 02 SS new ( 17 miles on it from SLP) and a 3200 VIG went it within a month with only 250 miles on the car and it's been in there every since. never had any issues with it when my car was just bolt-ons . and since h/c been done , it stills feels strong ( current mileage is 41,000 ) . i kinda wish i had went with a SS4000 Yank cause i want it to launch a little harder. but oh well , i'll be happy with it til' i get the extra money.

My old 1999 t.a was a full bolt on with a 3800 stall and 342s gears. I would not buy anything less than a 3800 my self. Driveability was fine, I just tweaked the converter lock up with edit.

well update.

i got my car back from the shop on thursday night i drove it around for awhile. at first it felt as if my car should be going faster but i got used to it after awhile. the launches are impressive even from a roll of 20 i still manage to spin my drag radials. i most def want to get her retuned my gas mileage went down a bit.

one thing i did notice however is that my temperature sometime gradually rises. i dont know if my stall might be causing that,

any suggestion on a tranny cooler? would a transmission shop be able to install it for me?
