Thinking about switching from 3200 vig to ss 4000..

1.56 60' with the SS4000 with 350 rwhp. That's how hard it hits 
If you look in the timeslip section, I have better 60's than some 10 second cars, plus I have the lowest MPH for just about any 11 second car(111.4). The key for me is the 60' & this SS4000 is great. If the track is crap, then I can't hook. That's the only problem I see with it. I like to bracket race & might have to go to a smaller stall to be more consistent.

i have been thinking about changing converters also i run a vig3600 and the best i have cut is a 1.58 once and 1.61 to 1.66 average..... the car made 449 rwhp so it should be doing more my formula M6 dynoed 378rwhp cam only and i have repetedly went 1.50s with it

how does the SUPER STOCK 4000 4L60E/4L65E LS1 245mm very high stall torque ratio. 4000 stall, 2.6 STR stall do with lets say a 200 shot on a direct port ??? would it hod it or would i need to stick with a 100 shot with a H/C/I 348ci LS1 450rwhp on motor ???

Good topic! I have a similar set-up with H/C Ls1, 3200 vig., S-60 with 3:73's. I run at about 12.3 / 109 mph with a 1.779 60'. The car is full weight and is a weekend warrior.
The Super Stock 4000 was recommended by Yank ( Dave ? ).
My goal is to get into the 11's. Does a switch to this converter sound feasible to attain my goals also.
I keep reading that this convertor hits hard from a stop?, but how is its pull on the top end at the track and for roll racing when that occurs.
There have also been good things said on this forum about the PT4400. How would that converter fit into the mix to attain the same goal . ( to loose or other comprimises.

I ran it for quite awhile, but when the opportunity presented itself, I swapped to the PT4400. It blows the SS away from a roll and on the topend, but the SS will run circles around it as a daily driver. I like the PT better than the SS series, but I don't have to drive my car every day if I don't want to. This would be a tough call...the SS is so well-rounded and gives you the option of running nitrous. I think either will easily get you to your goal of 11's. You just have to decide which one suits you better.
I'd call Dave to verify the 200-shot, but I know the SS4000 is nitrous friendly. I think you'd love this converter.
