the ES is in!
i ditched the metal plate and had the wife get out the miracle blade for those two things that stick out, and im surprised she can cut masa with that butterknife. i dont have a "bench-grinder", so i tried to wax-on whacks-off this sucker on the driveway, but its hard as heck so i had to have a buddy drive down the street in his v6 fireturd w/ his passenger door open while i hang out and use the ground to sand this bad boy down.

it vibrates a bit when i accelerate through a corner,
but i can launch noteably better since i have NO WHEELHOP
just tires moving fast without the car moving fast
then the *** wiggles a bit.
i think its a great mod,
but wish i didnt have to grind anything down.
being offered in red didnt make up for that.

Question

both my wife and i noticed
the car does not feel as fast
after installing the ES transmount
what happened?
should i have used the plate?
should i have not grinded anything down?
is it just my imagination?
the 1st gear drop from 35mph doesnt feel as hard
and it doesnt feel like it pulls as hard from there.
the shifts dont zoom ahead,
but i still get a little chirp.

whats up?

If washers fix it, then the vibe is probably from a mis-adjusted
pinion angle or a different-height trans mount - you are realigning
the tailshaft angle and U-joint driveshafts want the same angle
at both ends (tailshaft and pinion).
