Default TransGo seperator plate

Hey guys,
I just got my TransGo seperator plate in and noticed on the instructions it says that they made the 2nd ,3rd,and 4th feed holes smaller.Wouldnt this weaken the shifts or make them slower/sloppier? I Dont want or need a slower shift so would it be wise to open them all to the reccomended .096 3rd feed hole size?

I believe it you read the directions it says this because that is a universal plate. Meaning it works for all factory plates for certain years. Also you need to match it up to your original plate to modify the feed holes accordingly. Vince B

Ok . It was kinda weird the way they have it written on the paper. It says something about trying it out and seeing how you like it and that if desired i can drill them to match the plate.Just a little confused on it i guess. Ok so based on another recemedation is to enlarge the 3rd feed hole to .094 for better 3-4 clutch fluid. I just wsnt sure if it was at all optimal to do it to the rest of the feed holes.

Yep, you gotta match it up. My 3rd feed was drilled to .125 per Sonnax valve instructions. The transgo kit has you open it up to .093 or .101 for "full race".

Remember that the plate is a universal plate. It can be used on many different vehicles. I do agree that the directions can be easily confused for the a DIY'er. They feel for a stock application the holes they have punched in there should be fine. Vince B
