Unhappy TCI flexplate problem

hello

4L60E, TCI flexplate,tci breakaway converter just removed
so back to stock converter but have problem

(TCI flexplate and stock converter. When i did the trans install i used the stock converter bolts. And on start up they hit BANG bANG bang)

what i know TCI flexplate can be used with stock converter but why i have issues

what to do? change the bolts and used 11mm give me advise

The converter bolts shouldn't be hitting. Can you go back to your stock flexplate?

bolts might be hitting on the ribs of oil pan(f-car).my arp bolts hit ribs just mark where they hit and clearence ribs a little.also check if they are hitting the block(not likely)as block portion is recesed more than pan.smaller bolts might also work but my arp bolts were smaller than stock and still hit.

No i can't go to stock flexplate



can i go with smaller bolts then stock ? or long bolts

and yes the sound is not always heard but i heard it every 2 sec
and only hear when can on parking when i move not heard it

i think my problem thats sound i heard from flexplate hits torque converter some bolts not center 100% may be 50 torque lb for every bolts .

the bolts come with tci torque converter is longer then stock can i use it wth stock converter

i found the problem

tci flexplate come with 17/6 hole and stock converter come with 3/8

so the shop he get 3/8 bolt and install it so it's not blanced good

and he say thats not heart the transmation or torque converter and idon't know of he right or no


and why i feel my car have more power now with stock converer on street roll ?

with our flex plate one some instances you will need a short head bolt like an arp or what we send with our converters. If you want a higher stall our billet front cover streetfighter would give you a 3000-3200 stall and work great.

i just get yank converter sy3500 stall used and have same GM bolts

GM bolt size will work right
