yeah mid 13's. you can probably hit 10.99 if you dump about 10K off the bat into a rear, N2O, stall, and maybe a budget heads/cam combo.

but dont rip apart that car with so few miles. find a high mile car that needs the work nessecary to get 10's.

you can find a car like mine that runs great but has its problems for under 6K

the car still has origional tires on it if that tells you anything, and the guy is in his 40s. Will this thing beat an 05 m6 gto with ls2 heads? also will it beat an 00 ws6 m6 (stock) lol thanks

do not take this as a dick comment BUT:

i know exactly how you feel right now, but you really need to slow down a bit. it's always good to have a plan, but you're modding and bench racing a car you don't even have yet. if you JUST saved up the money to get it, put it on the road and get a feel for it before you start dumping money into it.

don't worry about what you can beat right now. first of all, both of those cars will be faster stock. second, you don't have a clue as to how to drive your car. third, 9 year old tires probably won't hook very well and probably shouldn't be run at racing speeds.

learn the car, save your money, and then go about modding wisely.

the way i modded my car was i added probably a part every month. so the car got progressively faster and handled better. granted i dont want a 10 second car. i just wanted my car to get into the 12's and thats where i am now after a year of owning the car.

my car was stock when i got it too with around the same miles as yours. if you go to my fquick in my sig you can see the mods ive done to it since i got it. trust me they ADD up, and very quickly i might add.

Yeah, I just turned 18 and have been saving for awhile. I just want to have a streetable drag car because its not my DD its just a fun car. but its going to be hard to mod becasue i have to save half my checks from now on for a house and stuff, but it will still be fast, im gonna start doin free mods as soon as i get it we have a shop with every tool you could imagine.

my uncle ownes a tire shop so i get tires and wheels for really really cheap so im just gonna put some SFCs on it and prostars with M/T DRs...does it matter what kind of SFC you put on ? theres so many different styles but some are only 150 bucks some are 300 ? does it matter if they are chromoly or mild steel and does it matter if they are 3-point or just regular because im gonna watch the weight too.

How I started modding my car was... Had the car for 3 weeks, go out to warm it up to go to work. Right at start up, cluck cluck.. Threw a rod...lol

But hey got a better motor out of the deal. My wife thinks I did it on purpose...

But normally I would do suspension, brakes, and tires first. You cant go fast if it wont stay on the road or if you cant stop it.
