Default TH350/TH400 vs 200-4R

Currently I have a 200-4R with a TCS 4200RPM nitrous stall. Im thinking about converting to a different tranny. What should I pick. I hardly drive the car on the street. Its solid roller 422 with a decent size shot of nitrous. I almost want a transbrake, but not sure. I know I can get some good money for the 200-4R because I really do not need the overdrive. What are the advantages/disadvantages of switching trannies.. Let me know..

I don't don't really see any advantages of swapping to a th350/th400. They might be a little stronger is all.

The transbrake is the biggest plus for those transmissions. If you never street drive it, and your dead serious about drag racing, why not go with a powerglide?
If there was no chance of me EVER driving my car on the street I would have gone with the TCI Powerglide instead of the TH400. The biggest problem I have with my TH400 is the loose converter. It sucks in traffic, but all is forgotten when the transbrake is released.

If your concerned about or wanting a transbrake, why dont you just install one on the 200-4R? If youre worried about it being strong enough, you have nothing to worry about because I know that the tranny in your car was built by Century and they rate their strip version for 800+rwhp/rwtq. Turbo Buicks are well into the 9s with those trannys. If I were you, I would stick with the 200-4R you got because of the overdrive. If youre really serious about swapping, I would be interested in buying the tranny and driveshaft off of you if the price is right. Thanks

I would go with the powerglide since your car doesn't see street duty.
