Not suppose to have one unless you run 10.99 or better. Wes was running 10.3s in his LT1 car and they didnt say anything to him.

Is the track NHRA or IHRA, and did the rules change?

Previously the NHRA rule book said:

A roll bar is required in any convertible running 13.49 seconds or quicker in the quarter mile, and in other cars beginning at 11.49. The roll bar is accepted in vehicles running as quick as 10.00 second e.t., provided the stock firewall and floorboard is intact, other than for installation of wheel tubs. The rollbar must be constructed of minimum 1 ¾ inch o.d. x .118 inch wall mild steel tubing, or 1 ¾ x .083 chrome moly tubing, and must conform to the following diagram:

They are IHRA. You do have to remember that this is just test and tune.

O.. I thought it was 11.4s and better..

As long as they are cool with it that is all that matters..

Well i might be wrong haha i was running 11.5s so i guess i wasnt fast enough, but i dont think they really care on T&T

our local track is pretty lenient on tech which is nice. i never want to have to cage my dd.

yeah same here. i wouldnt mind the single roll bar behind the front seats but that would be all i would do.

yeah i could handle that. i took my back seats out anyway so that wouldnt bother me.
