Need help bolt ons stall guys come on in...
So I have a full bolt on car now and I'm trying to make the decision on a stall I'm planning on a ss 3600. What I'm trying to get is an estimate on what kind of gains I will get in an eighth mile... My car also has lca's phb and sticky's

O god, it will be night and day difference between a good 3600 and the stock stall. Expect, with traction, to cut 1.60-1.70 60fts with a full weight car. Im not sure what your 60s are now though, but that will help you predict your 1/8 or 1/4 gains.

I called yank awhile back and they said for my mods and future plans as far as h/c/i and n20 the ss3600 was my best route all though I did want to lean toward the 4000. I still haven't decided for sure. just trying to get a feel on everyone's opinion.

You should plan on restalling a car when you do future mods in the future. You should match your stall to your mods. Right now you're best with something in the 3200-3400 range. This is coming from my tuner who is very knowledgeable about LSX based cars (he is actually currently writing a book on OBD-2). I had a friend get talked into an SS 4k by someone and it sucks driving that car. Now he has an MS3 and 243's and it flashes to about 4500-4600 rpm. I drove the car with the SS4K when it was bolt ons with 3.73 gears and it felt way too loose for me. His car also was a pig on the back half of the 1/4 mile. Chances are with a big stall you'll miss your torque peak and lose a lot of midrange power. If you want some more info shoot me a pm.

An SRLS series billet 9.5" at 3600 would be perfect. I would recomend nothing less. The 3600 will like the jug. Most customers see .6-.8 tenths drop in et.

The SS3600 will probably work out well for you if your going to be using nitrous. Depending on how low (rpm) and how much you spray off the line it could help flash the converter another 200-400 rpm.

Not sure about 1/8 but we dropped .7 tenths in the same exact track conditions. Went from consistent 12.9 to 12.2-1s. Only changes were M/T ET Streets and a Vig 3600 stall. Full bolt on T/A 3.42 gear. We eventually got 11.7s out of the car once the DA got better. So we dropped over a second with just the converter and a set of drag radials. Not sure about 1/8 though but you should see a pretty big gain.
