Default 4L80e TransGo HD2 shift firmness

I got the Transgo shift reprogramming kit today and went over the instructions.

Is their anyone who can recommend what i should set the firmness to. My car is a 2005 GTO Twin turbo 6.0. I would like the shift to be nice and firm on anything above light throttle.

Also their are two sections in the manual that refer to shift firmness. Does one refer to auto shifts and the other to manual lever shifts? I will be using the manual lever for 80% of my Daily driving.

i could be wrong but i figured that i could set the shifts quite firm and then drop the pressure down in the TCM under light throttle.

Stall will be 3200-3600 so it will not absorb a whole lot of shock

Here are two pictures of what im referring to

Be very careful with the 1-2 shift, but you can pretty agressive with the 2-3.

thanks, i was thinking of doing .086 for the 1-2 and then .096 for 2-3 and 3-4

i was also planning on setting the spring to the firmest setting.

The firmness that Gil is talking about is with a stock converter. The computer is what you will end up getting your final results as you have a decent sized stall. You can be agressive due to your power level.
