3rd gear slows me down in my Th350

I think I have it figured out. I had a bunch of sand, aluminum shavings, and dirt/oil stuck in the shifter and in the shifter cable(from when I was sandblasting and metal grinding), so they were both gummed up pretty bad. I got the shifter free'd up so it engages 3rd gear, but the cable was DONE. It required hercules strength to pull it in and out of the sleeve. My new one will be here tomorrow.
