Calling one of the vendors here (like FLT above) is your best, BEST option. I took my trans to a local trans shop that had great reviews. I paid $1500 (1700 total cause i needed a new case) for them to do a rebuild that would handle "700fwhp" and it blew up on a 12.51 1/4 run on a medium bolt ons T/A. I have probably 350fwhp.

The shop is rebuilding it under warranty but it still doesnt fix me having ot get it towed and out of a car for weeks.

The sponsors here have 99.9% positive feedback on everything they do and they do a fantastic job on what they do.

As soon as I get my trans back, I'm saving my pennies for a built trans from one of the guys on here.

Hindsight is, I could've gotten a "real" trans that has real professional quality behind it for maybe 100-400 more than what i paid for a shabby rebuild.

So I hope I"m not stepping on toes when I say, expect to spend 1500-1700. for a great rebuild or 10-20% more for a built trans (the whole unit).
