It'd still be better for him to cut that "ear" off of the bell housing as well. I honestly don't see why people still bother with FMVBs for the 4L80E anymore when there are plug and play options for the same cost that let you have the best of both worlds.

oh yea, def cut the ears off. they have always been cut off for me so didnt cross my mind.

^ What he said. He and I and the rest of us at the shop use a relay mod for customers who purchase a transmission for us, so the 98's can be controlled with the stock PCM
