I just open my RevMax converter box, 3500 stall, LQ9, TransAm, shipped UPS. I called and talked to Tom. They have been making converters for diesl trucks. Even for unlimited power output. Take a chance. I could not find one bad thing said about RevMax.

Take a look at this link. This is the reason you do not cheap out on a convertor. Many companies take shortcuts which is why they can offer them for cheap. Keep in mind that if your convertor goes, your tranny is done too.

I agree. Then you screwed. TWO things I you never do is buy a used coverter unless the shop has went thru it and buying a cheap coverter.

I know nothing as far as the revmax but please do the research. I see you say you have a 4l65e? So i guess you have the trans upgraded. You have spent hundreds of dollars on the cam, 243 heads, gears, and nos by themselves. A quality converter compared to a cheap converter is probably in the 400 range. You dont want that cheap converter taking out your trans. This is one of the parts you dont want to go cheap on.

Its the only new part Ive bought so far. Cam and springs are coming soon. 224/236@50 578/578/114+4 150shot stock long block LQ9 in my 2000TransAm But I didnt spend very much on my LQ9 salavage engine. Lots of work swapping. But as little money as I could. had. Hell have. If you have money in your car and plan on driving on the highway and getting groceries and or WANT YOUR **** TO LAST YOU BEST LISTEN and get a billet converter with tripple disk lock up.zracer323 https://ls1tech.com/forums/automa...education.html My converter has the "RING OF DEATH". Its brand new so what the ****! Wanna race this summer?

Dont buy for price unless price is your goal.[cheeeeeeeeppppppp]http://s913.photobucket.com/albums/ac339/squirlnutztransam/ Im the brokest muthatrucka there is. Save and spend the money on what you need for your car. I would like to purchase a Viggi convertr but I have two 14year old boy and a wife I want to kill bleeding me dry. If My **** holds over the summer Im happy. If It breaks then I have another excuse to go out in the garage.

I am ordering an FTI converter on Monday. Greg is great to deal with and a lot of help. They come with a warranty and one free re-stall. When you start to gain more HP you can send it back in and get it to fit your needs. IMO that is the best way to go.

It's better but not necessary, unless you have $1,000 to spend on a nice triple disc lock up. I'd recommend cicle D, Yank, or any of the other top guys here on tech.
