Good job, thanks for the pics, let us know how you run...
I find it easier to put the checkballs in their channels in the VB (and using vaseline to hold them in).

I would have put Torlon check ***** in there. I put them in mine after the steel ones gave the sep. plate a beating.
I found the ring sizer on ehay for 40 bucks shipped. Got lucky I guess.

Ok, just got the car done and all went well, at first shifts were soft from the tranny having to bleed all air from apply area, passageways, etc. Took it for a 5 mile trip and got on it 1/3 throttle all shifts were firm and very accurate. I can tell the converter is alot tighter now, still the same 3600 converter but now that it is fresh it feels much better.
Tranny level is topped of as of now and I plan on checking it tomorrow after a 20 miles trip running it through all the gears plenty of more times before I really beat on it. Also I want to change my oil, and fuel filter just for maintainance
Thanks for all that have followed this thread, Hope ya liked it.

I feel like there isn't any issue with the stock piston return springs in the input drum, plus transgo wants u to remove the returns springs that sit on the outside of the 3-4 pack...bad idea!! there is already an issue with 3-4 clutch holding power in these trannies, so installing stiffer return springs only reduces the holding power of the piston. Not saying you will have any issue with the kit, just I won't be puting them in any I do.

Just take your time and do all the basic upgrades, beast shell, 8 clutch, or z-pack for the 3-4, and maybe the billet 2nd and 4th gear servos to help the band live for a long time. Also the harded trangsgo separator plate with the 3rd feed hole drilled helps alot.

the clutch springs in the trans go kit according to them ......reduces 3-4 clutch burnup caused by crossleaks and slow KD release....which sounds to me to be a good thing.........I see from the pic in post 25 you installed the anti clunk springs around the drum in ..or as referenced in the f body manual ....3-4 boost springs ......most tranny builders leave those out...the trans go instruction sheet says to leave them out......even the ATSG manual suggests you leave them out.....in their place you can put in case saver spacers

do you have any pics of these case saver spacers? I'm open to any and all mods performed on this tranny.

To me the 3-4 boost springs just make sense, the bottom pressure plate is pretty solid on the z-pack. When the car is not in 3rd or 4th the springs help the bottom pressure plate return with the apply ring to help give the clutch pack more clearance to fully dissengage.
If there is any downfall to these springs please explain.

the 5th pic is a space saver.....i think that the anti clunk springs dont really live up to purpose they were designed for is why they are not recommended

But do have a picture of the case saver used in all levels. We use this in place of the anti clunk spring to help protect the case from damage from the very agressive shift of the center support that can occur during a hard launch. This peice eliminates case damage caused by the metal support slamming into the case by distributing the force more evenly.............performa transmissions

i really like the design of the sonnax servo......and pin......the biggest servo is crap if it does not seal......and the sonnax has the seal problem covered......did not find out til i tried to put it in.......you can only put it in if the tranny is dropped......when i did my TG SK i installed many sonnax parts for performance and reliabilty......smoothest tranny i have ever had
