Default Does your shift kit do this

When my car is WOT or when you kinda get on it, when it shifts, it sounds like someone is taking a sludge hammer to it, and maybe i'm crazy but i think there a few times when i thought my center console has lifted. And i know a shift kit isn't suppost to do that

What kind of "shift kit" is it? Sounds like it is set up too aggressively.

Check to make sure that the transmission crossmember mount is not broken.

Mine kind of does this for part throttle shifts from 2-3. WOT doesn't. Might have something to do with the shift timing in your tune.

Yeah sounds like the tranny mount needs replacing.

If I am real gentle on her she won't, but if i kinda get on her ( i'de say at least 25% throttle) or WOT, she starts banging

but would high pressure in the lines be able to cause my center console to lift?

I agreee with the above post. If your center console is moving on shift, it has nothing to do with line pressure. It's a mount issue somewhere. The shifter is directly connected to the transmission, the shifter may be what's causing the console to move. The mount may look alright, but you have to consider that the heavy transmission is sitting on top of it pressing it down.

I would check the torque arm, the transmission mount, and the transmission crossmember for loose or broken bolts again. A new transmission mount is 50$, and it takes 10 minutes once you get the car lifted up.

Unless you're getting a "custom made" delrin transmission mount.....the average polyurethane transmission mount costs $30.

if you have a shift kit you do not want to mess with the line pressure. part of what the kit does is mechanically mess with the pressure. my shift kit was installed with 3 washers (the firmest on the 1-2 shift, and it shifts EXTREMELY fast but there is no banging.

I go through a trans mount every 4-6 months. I know what that is like, and what you have, is 100%, a broken transmission mount.
Is yours a rubber or poly mount?

May be. It's been about 5 years since I replaced mine with a Poly. Either way, it's something that is relativily cheap and easy to do. Whether it's the issue or not, it's not going to break the bank if it's not the issue.

I guess I'm use to the Cadillac tax on the Poly mount for my CTSV that I purchased a few months ago.

Glad it was just overlooked the first time and not something serious.
