1400rwhp 4l80e
Who makes them and how much? This is a three beep car non track Or should i just stick with a th400. This is a turbo build. Seems the th400 is the cheapest way but im not a cheap person, "u have to pay to play" I know rosslers is badd *** aswell as conan for th400.

I have an FLT setup but not making anywhere 1400hp
I know the Ohio boys used a Rossler setup in one of their 7 second street cars that I am sure was making well over 1400. I belive he said HIGH RPM would kill the pumps on them.

ck performance builds a good one says 1500hp. its about 4000k for one and you have the option to change planetary gear sets and some clutches. the 400 and 4l80 share some of the same parts anyways i think you just get over drive.

I'm no trans. expert but pretty sure the 4th gear is strictly cruising.

Yeah you're right but they do make 6 speed autos now, not sure if that would be an option for a car setup for that kind of abuse.

I think the top speed would essentially be the same, just different shift points.

4L80E would be absolutely fine as long as you don't apply more the 900-1000rwhp when the shifter is in the 4th gear position....just always remember to go to D3 (or lower) when really squeezin the throttle.
Add in some TQ management in the 3-4 shift (and some mods to the trans) you could probably get away with wide open 3-4 shifts.

Great info guys im going with a 400, considering it will cost me in the aera of 7k for a 4l80e set up. Plus there are more 400 out there holdin some serious power. Cruse is ok with a 400 with 2.73 gears and big tiresshould turn around 2.6 k at 70 mph.

If you do it right, a 4L80 will only be about $500-700 more than a Th400. BTW 3.00 gears, 26" tires, 2050 rpm at 70mph
