i used to have a 3200 and switched to a 4000 with those same gears. my car is also a dd. cruising around the difference isnt that noticeable. as soon as i smash on the gas i can definitely tell.

I have to admit, Yank is a crowd favorite around here. I put a SS4k in mine and saw an improvement over my previous Edge 3200. However, I'm fully aware of what this converter can and cant do with a full weight, relative stock suspension car. It suits most people's need in a converter. I will say with a basically mod for mod race against an M6, from 4k and up through second to third gear I couldnt keep up. I was kind of disappointed in that. Maybe I'm expecting too much. I dont regret buying it though.
My thoughts.. Yank meets exactly what you want and no more. From what I've seen PTC/VIG exceeds expectations on most applications. You get what you pay for with them, and are guaranteed that. With PTC/Vig you get what you pay for and usually just a tad more.
And yes, TONS of followers from Yank. I don't know if it is advertising or what, but they have tons and tons of followers.

i currently have a nice lil' h/c set-up with a 3200 vig. i've been thinking of going with a ss 4000 yank , but i was wondering if a 3.73 gear would match up perfect with my 3200 stall and keep me up in my powerband while racing ?
i'm not concern with the gas mileage , i just want to know would it be worth installing 3.73 and what ET and 60ft improvements you guys have seen ? thanks in advance![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)

hey TXZ, how does the mid-range and top-end feel with your 3200 and 373 gear setup now ? does your car keep pulling in 3rd or does it lag for a second and pick back up ?

hey Mac, well ive only gotten on my car a few times. i honestly baby my car. i run the MTI X1 230/227 112 lsa, 3200, all bolt ons and 3.73. you can definitely feel it pull. thats why i am curious to see how much more harder it will pull higher rpm's with a 4k stall.
