i used to have a 3200 and switched to a 4000 with those same gears. my car is also a dd. cruising around the difference isnt that noticeable. as soon as i smash on the gas i can definitely tell.

I will say with a basically mod for mod race against an M6, from 4k and up through second to third gear I couldnt keep up. I was kind of disappointed in that. Maybe I'm expecting too much. I dont regret buying it though.
Exactly... I by NO MEANS am calling Yank converter "sub par" or "crappy". They just don't usually exceed my expectations.

My thoughts.. Yank meets exactly what you want and no more. From what I've seen PTC/VIG exceeds expectations on most applications. You get what you pay for with them, and are guaranteed that. With PTC/Vig you get what you pay for and usually just a tad more.

And yes, TONS of followers from Yank. I don't know if it is advertising or what, but they have tons and tons of followers.

i didnt think anything. The car wouldnt keep up. I was likely a tad heavier, and his cam was a tad bigger. But we had almost the exact same mods.

i'm not concern with the gas mileage , i just want to know would it be worth installing 3.73 and what ET and 60ft improvements you guys have seen ? thanks in advance

Lemon, i plan on switching my vig 3200 for a yank SS4000 because it will defintiely pull alot harder. Nothing wrong with my 3200, but it drives very smooth. I also plan on upping my cam a bit more as well. my setup is a great setup for a DD fun little street car.

hey TXZ, how does the mid-range and top-end feel with your 3200 and 373 gear setup now ? does your car keep pulling in 3rd or does it lag for a second and pick back up ?

hey Mac, well ive only gotten on my car a few times. i honestly baby my car. i run the MTI X1 230/227 112 lsa, 3200, all bolt ons and 3.73. you can definitely feel it pull. thats why i am curious to see how much more harder it will pull higher rpm's with a 4k stall.

Cool !! My gears just got here today from Speed Inc. I plan on getting them put in this weekend ...I Hope . I'm going to pick up some 85/140 Valvoline gear oil , 1 bottle of GM additive and break her in real good before running it hard .
