Default 4L60E F body Flexplates

Are all the LS1 F body A4 flexplates created equal, '98-'02? I know some are cracking....Are '98's better than '01's or '02's? All the same part #'s? Thanks. WJ.

'98 is much more solid-looking. I bought one from Valvegod
and had it put in during my TC swap. It's the later ones that
they got a little stingy with the steel. There was a thread a
while back on here that showed pictures of the two styles.

The '98-'00s are stronger. After that they're weaker.

I'm still running the stocker in my 02. Hopefully she holds together for me.

I have a 2001 Z28, and just went through a TC install, so I figured while they were in there they should just replace the flexplate. I purchased the TCI SF29 plate, one less headache to worry about.
