I'm going to be replacing shift solenoids and am going to go ahead and add an aftermarket pan with a drain plug and more fluid capacity. What have you guys used and is there a sponsor here that sells them? Plus is there a sponsor that sells the shift solenoids?

I've seen a TCI and B&M offered on a couple different site's; anyone have a preference?

 

Make sure theres enough clearance for the deep pan.

 

I too am curious as to which deep pan people prefer.

 

i bought my B&M pan from thunder racing.

 

I ordered the TCI 37800 deep pan from Speed Inc.

 

I'm using a truck pan .

 

B&M deep pan here.

 

Truck pan here as well it came with my FLT trans. It hold and extra quart and doesnt' hang down as low as the cast pans with all the fins. There is no drain on it and I really would not want one. I feel much better dropping the pan as you can see of there are any unexpected pieces laying in the bottom.

 

I prefer the TCI pan or a factory delco deep pan. Vince

 

I was looking at the tci pan for my 95lt1 because it doesn't seem to require a filter extension or a special filter, and has a temp sender bung and drain plug. anybody use378014

 

Installed the TCI cast pan today & had to modify the inside with a die-grinder & burr to remove material for the OE filter clearance.
I wouldn't do it all over, I'd look the GM truck pan.

 

If you ever lower your car a deep pan will be your worst nightmare, just go with a stock depth pan with a plug and a BIGG trans cooler.. and remeber a 700R4 pan is the same as the 4L60E Google it.

I got me an ebay pan, cheap. The pan still does not go below the headers.

 

how much deeper is that pan over stock???

 

I got a Hughes Racing pan extra 2 quarts..

 

Not sure but it hold 3 or 4 more quarts, I thinks its about a inch or 2 deeper.

 

did you use the longer filter???
