You need to pull the pan to install this properly. If your sending unit is a 1/8 NPT, then you will need a 1/8 NPT weldable bung to weld to the pan. Get the bung, take the pan off, drill a properly sized hole, and shoot to a muffler shop and have them seal the bung in place if you dont have access to a welder.

the wiring is easy. You tap into the power wire for the lights behind the fuse to light up the gauge and then find a good ground. Idk if you mean the whole gauge is eletric but my trans gauge i put in my car there was only one wire that went from the sending unit to the back of the gauge and i was done.

Gaskets yu can get from any where made it prefer gm gaskets but off the internet is fine too. Good luck steve

And if yer gonna drop the pan & add the new gasket, ya might as well replace the filter while yer in there.

Search Transmission temp gauge info & ya may find where people have installed in the lines also. But it's not a good true system reading tho.

Best place is in the pan on the drivers side I believe, away from the return line flow. Return line flow would/should be a lower temp than the system since it's just coming back from the heat-exchanger/cooler.

I just get the auto parts filter/gasket combo for about $15. I personally bought my 1/8 bung from summit but feel I overpaid for one little bung. Here's one for about $7 on ebay
