I have gotten solenoid 2 stuck off code multiple times, have replaced it once and was told it common for stalled cars.

Recently got code again...has not occured in a while. Erased code and went on ...

few easy burn outs no track runs since code...

Was fine on way out last night and way home it acted like it not want to shift...would just rev...

shifted out of first but not sure what gear it shifted to...i was limping it home... didnt want to mess it up more...

Couldnt keep a steady speed above 30 with out revving...

Any ideas if solenoids or stall or what else could it be???

exactly my thoughts...hope just solenoids since code was thrown earlier but in like it not even engages into next gear...just rev jerk rev jerk...so could be clutches or stall or just need another rebuild but is only has 24k on rebuilt from 02 ws6 that had 60kmax on it...

 

1 2 and rev is fine..going from 2 to 3 revs...slips...let off gas and jerks like skips to 4th but no stall lock up...test solenoids tonight...

 

1st the code you were getting for the solenoid was not the solenoid its a common false code created by the high stall converter and should have been tuned out in tuning to solve it.
However what your experincing now sounds like a 3-4 clutch failure. Its not a solenoid issue.

 

thats what i am thinking..i got a scanner to test solenoid operation just to mark off list...would it need a full rebuilt if its 3-4 clutches? What would you recommend for parts?

 

okay no codes....had scanner on and drove...shift 1, 2, 3..third revs and i have to let off, jerks into 4th...4 pulls but feels little weak...stall not locking up either..still think its clutches?

What do 3 and fourth have in common?

What causes the stall to lock up (what does the ecu command that actually locks it)?
