Default stalled auto from a roll?

Im looking into a higher stall for 1st time. I know a stalled auto will waste a manual in most cases but what about from a roll?

depends on setups but stalls do help from a roll tremendously.

itll help take away your dead spots autos have at certain speeds. id go with at least a 3600. auto should edge out an m6 in this situation.

I would go at least 3500 or even 4000, I had a 72 chevelle with a mild small block with a 4000 stall and it was awesome and it was a street car

my vigilante 3200 drives great. i guess vigilante underrates there stalls so its roughly a 34-3600 stall. but it drives so civil man, it really feels like stock and i have a 230 cam on a 112. thats why im thinking of stepping up to more cam and more stall..and even though i hardly drive my car, i would not have any problems driving it anywhere.

are you planning on putting a cam in the car?? if so i wouldn't go any higher then like 3000 depending on the cam size and power band...bc a 4000 on the street is kinda high....my buddy has an 02 camaro and all he has done is 4k stall LT Headers tune and gears and best time is 11.58, and he hates his stall bc its his daily driver..its laggy..its nice at the track but consider street driving too man..think about and ride in someones car who has a 3k stall or 4k stall first before you go haywire about gettin a stall...and please dont get a TCI..lol

my yank ss3600 is very responsive and is actually better driving than before, I could never go back to daily driving a stock stalled performance car and would rather die than try to use a stock stalled car for racing

not to mention with the cam and mods in my sig I was running with bolt on cars at the track and getting my *** handed to me by a full exhaust m6 trans am from 50 rolls...the guy didn't even have a lid, just headers and loudmouth on a 01 t/a with a 98 cam and fresh motor

I have an FTI 3600 and love it. From a roll and a stop. My mods are in my sig. Just a few bolt-ons. Stock motor and 323 gears. My best time with the stall is in FL heat in 2000 DA.

I could not go back to a stock convertor either.

I have an M6. My buddy has a 3600 stalled auto. Mods are identical except I have an ls6 intake hes got the ls1. Headers/ory/cat-back/lid/p&p tb on both cars. Oh and we both have 3.42 gears (he changed his rear end)

We did a few roll races the other day. At 50, i was in 3rd, we honked it and went, I got wasted. I should have used 2nd gear. We tried again at 65 as this is much better speed for 3rd gear for me. He honked it and we went. I jumped 1/2 a car instantly since he still had to downshift, but after that I just stayed perfectly 1/2 a car ahead. Before the stall I would pull on him every time.

No track times yet so idk if his car is faster from a dig, but we will see in a few weeks. I already took bets on myself so hopefully I can take him out. He ran 13.3 best before stall/gears, I ran 12.6, so that is the time to beat.

I'd go with a 4000 stall speed converter in a NA app. Been there, had a 3500, 3200, 4400 and the 4400 was my favorite.

See 4000 is the way to go, it will put you right in the power band on almost any cam out there. Thats my opinion. Im sure a lot will think Im wrong but there will be a lot that agree. It is fine on the street.
