Default Stall experts step inside

This is going to be my first time stalling a car and I need some advice as to which series/rpm to use.
Here's a quick mod list

Longtubes
Mid-pipe
Magnaflow catback
Slp induction
Tune

I plan on spraying a 125/150 through it as well

A built 4L60E is already in the works.
The car is my summer DD and see's about 60 miles a day highway so I don't want to go too big, but I'm hearing that a 3800-4k is still DD'able.
Any imput on this? And will I need a different series converter since I'm spraying it?

I'm already convinced to either go with TCI, Yank or Vigallante as far as brand goes.

i dont think tci is recommended, unless im confusing it with something else.

I personally chose the circle d 3600-3800 stall. just waiting for it to arrive

It's all subjective. I am totally fine with a 4000-4500 stall on a dd. You may not be. My opinion is talk to Greg at FTI with your specific setup and see what he says to run. Or Circle D. Both are great companies with awesome products. I have an FTI and love it.

The only person who can answer your questions effectively is the converter builder.
Everyone elses input is just conversation.

Sometimes you get a converter builder to reply and they say give them a call.
Theres a reason they say that.

If you want driveability give the builder your info, have him recommend a stall speed, then go down 400 rpm, or insist you get one tight down low.
They all offer a restall anyway, usually.

Since my car is my full time dd, I went with a yank ss3200 and 3.73's. From what I hear, the ss3600 is also a VERY tight converter, and good for dd.

First, what is the duration of the camshaft at .050" lift? What is the lobe centerline of the camshaft? What rear end gear ratio are you going to be using? And how do you drive? Conservative? Moderate? Moderately aggressive? Or aggressive? Are you planning on any more nitrous in the future? All of these factors come into play when choosing a stall.

I would go with FTI. But I am a little biased. I would recomend a 3600 if DD is a concern. You can DD a 3800 or 4000 as well but part throttle driveabilty will suffer. Me personaly if I was gonna make the car fast then lets make it fast not just mediocre.

I love my 3600 FTI it is great. No problems driving it any where even my wife likes it. Just make sure you get a good after market cooler.

And for spray I am pretty sure you need anti- balloning plates in the convertor.

once the converter locks up on the highway gas mileage or driveability wont matter. It will feel normal.


FTI would be my choice as well
