My "Barbie Vette" and I are serious dragracers that have been field testing YANK Convertors for two years with 28" Tall Hoosier Slicks and 850 rwhp with no problems and noticable positive results.
9.25 @ 155 mph and 1.31 60' off the foot brake.
Currently testing a Rossler Brake and BigStuff3 w/2-step to "Get Off The Line Quicker"

i really dont think that will ever happen,, an a6 converter requires a lot of tcm tuning to make it work,, and they(aftermarket tuners) still dont have all the tables figured out for tcc and pressure. gm would not warranty a trans with an aftermarket cal file in it. the cal verification numbers are the first thing gm needs these days when a trans or engine warranty claim is initiated

Curious as to how a post/thread/opinion here on Tech would influence a decision made by GM? Also, how does this big contract effect us little guys when we put in our tiny little one converter order?

The GM line is a special series of converters and will sold that way.
LS owners are all one big family and this opens up more options for the buyer.
