Default Stall converter on daily driver?

My 02 SS is my daily driver and I was wondering if a stall converter would be a smart mod. I live in Indiana so I drive it in the snow and on ice. I installed Hooker headers a month ago and I have noticed a little difference while driving on ice. I tend to spin and fishtail a little more. Will a stall converter do the same if I drive slow? Would this be a stupid mod if I drive my car on ice?

A higher stall will make it feel more sluggish so you will spin less in snow. Im in indiana too. I try to never drive in the snow. Bought a 87 plymouth sundance its a junker. A high stall is a must have for an A4. If you come to the big city PM me for a ride so you can get a feel for one.

3200 here, drive it in the rain, keep your foot off it when the weather is bad and its just like a stock stall. It drives fine, takes a week to get used to. When I first got mine it was raining all that week and stuff so I didnt really rip on it. After you get on it once you'll love it.

What part of Indy? My brother lives in Camby, which is on the southwest side. I might have to take you up on that.

That helps guys. With the weather we have been having lately, I just didn't want my car to be undrivable on ice or snow.

I have the SY3500 in mine, and I didn't notice much difference in the snow. As long as you're mellow with it, you will be ok. Driving in the snow isn't too bad, but driving around with all the ice we've gotten lately really sucks, even with snow tires.

I have the SSF3500 and would think it would be easier in the snow and ice. it takes more pedal and rpm to move the car at low speeds so it wouldnt be as touchy. I havent driven in the snow since the converter install but have lived in the snow all my life.

Back in my MOPAR days, I owned a 1969 Dodge Super Bee, 383 stock with 3000 stall and 3.23 gears.
A 1970 'Cuda w/built 383 (360 hp) with a 3000 stall and 3.36 gears
and a 1972 340 Duster w/ 2800 stall and 3.23 gears.
All were very streetable, in fact, my daily drivers. Under normal driving, the converter was hardly noticeable, but nail it and look out! Built-in "hole-shot"!
